This week’s tournament name
certainly seems to have inspired Mitchell A. Brown into winning form.

"MitchellThe stars might very well be
aligned for New South Welshman Mitchell A. Brown this week at the Mitchell
& Brown Spalding Park Open in Geraldton.

Brown said, "His mindset was to
attack the course in day one, and today the mindset was the same."

So far it is working for Brown who
has posted rounds of 9-under 63 and 4-under 68 for a two day total of 13-under 131.

In hot pursuit of
Brown is West Australian Daniel Fox who has also been playing some hot golf to
be just two shots back on the leaderboard.

Fox was a favourite to take out
the title at the start of the week, his score of 13-under the card for three
rounds in 2012, the lowest ever record in the tournaments 41 year history. However
that record looks in jeopardy this week.

"It looks like it will be beaten
this year," said Fox.

"I know I’ll be looking for a low
number to chase down Mitchell tomorrow. It’s going to fun!"

The weather has
aided the birdie fest this year with light rain softening the course and very
little wind providing little to challenge the Professionals.

The South Australian contingent
of Jason Norris and Max McCardle are also making their presence felt at the
Spalding Park Golf Club and are within striking distance of the title with a
low round on the final day tomorrow. They are four and five shots back of Brown
respectively.

The final group tees off at
10:30am tomorrow morning at the Spalding Park Golf Course in Geraldton.
