Tour Insider is excited! The ISPS HANDA World Super 6 Perth is finally here and I haven't been this excited for a Sunday since Dimi Papadatos's after party last week.
This week is a huge opportunity for some of the young guys on the ISPS HANDA PGA Tour of Australasia like Jake Higginbottom, Taylor Macdonald, Jake McLeod, Rory Bourke, Ben Eccles and Vic Open champ Dimi Papadatos to earn a European Tour card and Tour Insider will be cheering for our Aussie's to cause an upset.
Anything can happen in the final round, the hard part is making it there, the best picks of the field below…
#1 Peter Uihlein
Played well here last year and if he negotiates the 12th a little better this year he will be right in the mix, loves Australia and has been hanging out for this event.
#2 Lucas Herbert
Another Aussie young gun who is on the verge of a victory. He has his coach on the bag this week and some have suggested if he was on the bag last week Herbert would already have his victory, the match play format should suit him. Plus he got a taste of the high life flying to Rottnest Island in a helicopter earlier in the week, he needs the winner’s cheque to fund the lifestyle he is fast becoming accustomed to.
#3 Ryan Fox
Ryan is ready to win on a main tour. He is an aggressive player who should be suited to the match play format which he played well as an amateur. He has a new putter in the bag this week, it could be just what he needs to get over the line.
#4 Thorbjorn Oelsen
This is a man who loves Australia, and why wouldn’t he? He is a past winner at Lake Karrinyup and also won in his last start in Australia, the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne at the end of last year. His lucky charm is at the course this week (you know who you are!) so he will be one of the main challengers.
#5 Jason Scrivener
One of the local favourites who almost got the job done last year. He should know every blade of grass on the course and is due to breakthrough for a win.
