In his first appearance on Australian turf, the
American appeared jovial and relaxed in his first press conference at
Metropolitan Golf Club.

The BetEasy Masters is one of three
tournaments Weekley will be playing in Australia and feels his game is on
track.

"I feel good
enough and I’m playing good enough that I feel I’ve got a chance these next
three tournaments".

Declaring his excitement about coming down under, Weekley
also encouraged his PGA TOUR
counterparts to consider playing Australian tournaments.

"This is a dream come true for me to come over
here.  I’ve always wanted to come over
here and play as a player since I started on the PGA Tour."

"I
think everybody on the PGA Tour should have the opportunity to come over here
and play, at least do it one time," said Weekley

Weekley also praised the stellar conditions of the
Metropolitan Golf Course, which has been a consistent topic of conversation
between players this week.

"The manicured
fairways are absolutely flush.  It’s a
great layout, great golf course".

"It’s one of the
top ten golf courses I’ve ever teed it up on."

"I’m glad I came
over and got to play"

When asked about
Australia and his time here so far, Weekley couldn’t hide his new found love
for the great Aussie pie.

"Best thing I’ve
eaten is one of them meat pies." joked Weekley.

The renowned US crowd favourite is sure to bring some showmanship
to Metropolitan this week.

Sinnott on Thursday at 12:15pm
