The 2015 WA PGA Championship has received a boost with TX Civil & Logistics confirming their naming rights support of the prominent tournament.

The 2015 WA PGA Championship has received a boost with TX Civil & Logistics confirming their naming rights support of the prominent tournament.

""With the tournament set to be hosted by the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder until 2017, the event will now be known as the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship, a name that has a nice ring to it according to Company Director Zak Raad.

"We are certainly very excited to be partnering with the PGA in our backyard and a Championship that dates back to 1933," said Raad who is a passionate golfer.

"We were looking into different corporate options and opportunities; we really wanted to give back to the game and the wider community."

"When we recognised the more than 100 year history of the PGA and the stature the WA PGA Championship holds within the PGA, we believed it was the perfect fit for TX Civil & Logistics."

Tournaments such as the TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship provide important playing opportunities for the rising stars of Australian golf whilst also bringing high level professional golf to communities all around Australia.

"The PGA has adopted the strategy to taking tournaments like the WA PGA Championship out of the big cities to provide golf fans all around the country the opportunity to witness elite competition in their own back yards," said Stephen Ayles, Chief Commercial Officer for the PGA of Australia.

"TXThe TX Civil & Logistics WA PGA Championship will be played on the Kalgoorlie Golf Course, ranked 60th in Australia’s top-100 golf courses, it provides a unique and breathtaking desert layout which continues to challenge the Professionals to produce their best golf.

Competing from 29th October to 1st November, 120 of Australia and New Zealand’s best known Professionals and rising stars will compete for $110,000, status on the PGA Tour of Australasia until the end of 2017 as well as Official World Golf Ranking Points.
