The PGA Tour of Australasia is joined this week by the European Tour for the ISPS Handa Perth International.

"JasonBeing played at Lake Karrinyup Country Club the tournament will tee off on Thursday 23rd October with the champion set to be crowned on Sunday 26th October.

With a prize purse of AU$1.75million on offer, the PerthInternational is Australia’s richest tournament but the winner will also receive many other benefits including full status on the PGA Tour of Australasia andEuropean Tour as well as Official World Golf Rankings Points.

This week Jin Jeong has returned to defend his title after spending the year competing on the European Tour. His season has been highlighted by a T2 finish at the Joburg Open which also earned him a start inThe Open Championship.

Also returning to Australia for the first time since 2012,Jason Dufner will tee it up for the first time since a neck injury sidelined him. He competed in the inaugural Perth International where he finished runner-up to compatriot Bo Van Pelt.

Two of Australia’s PGA TOUR winners, Geoff Ogilvy and StevenBowditch have jetted into Perth to play their first tournaments of theAustralian summer.

Ensuring the Perth International lives us to its name, SouthAfrican Charl Schwartzel and Frenchman Victor Dubuisson add a global flare to the tournament.

Headlining the West Australians this week is European Tour winner Brett Rumford and Greg Chalmers.

With  a field packed with some of the world’s best golf talent the 2014 ISPS Handa PerthInternational is set to be another exciting week.
