A strong contingent of Professionals have returned home from the US for the Aussie summer of golf.

Web.com Tour players Adam Crawford, Ashley Hall, James Nitties, Peter Lonard and Nathan Green will all tee up this week.

Aiming for back-to-back wins on the PGA Tour of Australasia is Ryan Lynch who won the Tour’s last tournament, the WA Goldfields PGA Championship, played in Kalgoorlie two weeks ago. He is joined by other recent Tour winner’s Andre Stolz, Josh Geary and Matthew Giles.

While there are plenty of stars in the field the Mazda NSW Open Championship will showcase some of the rising stars on Tour.

In 2013 Callan O’Reilly played in the tournament as an amateur, finishing tied 7th and taking low amateur honours.

This year he returns to the tournament a Professional having earned his place on Tour thanks to winning the PGA Tour of Australasia Qualifying School.

Adjusting to life as a Professional O’Reilly has made four cuts in seven starts this year with his best finish being a T20 at the WA Goldfields PGA Championship.

The Mazda NSW Open Championship is an integral tournament on the PGA Tour of Australasia. It provides important opportunities for the players in the field.

As well as a prize purse of $100,000, Official World Golf Rankings points are on offer this week as is a three year exemption onto the PGA Tour of Australasia.

The leading two players and ties finishing inside the top-10 this week, not already exempt, will also earn a start in the BetEasy Masters being played at Metropolitan Golf Club next week.
