New Zealander Ryan Fox and South Australian Paul Spargo aretied for the lead heading into final round of the John Hughes Nexus RiskServices WA Open Championship to be played at Cottesloe Golf Club.

""Starting the day with a two shot lead, Fox held off Spargo’schallenges throughout the round before a bogey on the 18th saw thepair tied for the lead at 18-under the card heading into Sunday.

It was a mixed day on the course for Fox who had two eagles, five birdies and five bogeys for his 4-under 68.

"It was nice to have a good battle out there with Sargs(Paul Spargo), both of us hit some nice shots," said Fox following his roundplaying with his co-leader.

"He pulled me a long a little bit on the back nine. I hit acouple of bad shots to start and made a couple of bogeys while he made a coupleof birdies."

"I’ve had the equivalent of 26 birdies this week, so my gameis definitely there but I have just made a few too many mistakes, especiallyyesterday and today to really get it going."

Playing a more consistent brand of golf, Spargo returned histhird consecutive round of 6-under 66 to ensure his status atop the leaderboard.

"I have played well the last three days, all areas of mygame have been pretty solid," said Spargo.

"Ryan and I were only one or two shots away from each otherall day. The lead chopped and changed a little bit but I am confident goinginto tomorrow."

"I am looking forward to the challenge of going head to headwith Foxy again."

We are set for an exciting finish at the WA Open with theplayers believing a low score is required to win.

"It’s the kind of golf course where you need to make birdies, even par isn’t going to get the job done tomorrow," added Fox.

"My mind set won’t change I will be going out trying to makeas many birdies as possible."

After shooting a solid 5-under 65 today Queenslander DanielNisbet is three shots off the leaders on 15-under the card while a further shotback again and rounding out the top-5 are Rhein Gibson (NSW), Stephen Dartnall(WA) and Steve Jones (VIC).
