Victorian Professional Peter Woodward has made the most of Queensland’s perfect weather to claim his first win at the Brisbane Ladbrokes Legends Pro-Am.

""Woodward fired a 3-under par 69 for a one shot win over Simon Jagot, Brad Burns and Stephen Herbert.

A three putt at the final hole threatened to cost Woodward the outright win, though this was short lived after finding out his round was good enough after handing in his card..

“Before I teed it up today I knew that accuracy was going to be paramount off the tee and it was great to put my plan into practise on course today,” said Woodward.

“The Brisbane course is relentless and even though I drove the ball well, I still need to hole some putts. I really thought the three putt at the last was going to cost me, and it was such a relief to find out after handing in my card that it didn’t cost me.”

The Ladbrokes PGA Legend Tour rolls on in South East Queensland, with the Mt Warren Park Legends Pro-Am teeing off on Friday.
