After round one of the Vuksich & Borich Fiji Legends Golf Classic was washed out at Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course play got underway yesterday on the par 72 Denarau Golf and Racquet Club course.

Good weather and light breezes greeted the 46 Senior Professionals who have made the trip to Fiji.

Joined by some 70 amateurs from Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific it was Brad Burns who carded the best score of the day with a 5-under 67.

Burns holds a two shot lead over four players who fired rounds of 3-under 69. New South Welshman Steve Aisbett finished his round with an eagle on the par-5 18th, his penultimate hole, while David Hando, Richard Backwell and Order of Merit Leader Tim Elliott make up the remainder tied for second.

With good weather forecast for the final round an exciting and close finish is anticipated.
