The final round of the South Pacific Classic saw strong winds return to the Tina Golf Club.

The early pace was set by Lucien Tinkler shooting 2-under 70 to be 11-over for the tournament.

It was the top two groups however that shared the spoils, Jean-Louis Guepy and Richard Backwell in the penultimate group posted 74 and 69 respectively giving Backwell the lead with the final group on the 18^th.

Backwells round included five birdies but bogies on 7 and 17 saw him miss out by three shots.

Peter Senior continued his steady form returning a 73 for a level par total of 288.

Senior only managed one birdie in his round finding the afternoon greens very tricky as they dried out in the strong wind.

Ladbrokes Legends Tour Order of Merit leader Tim Elliott finished tied third to maintain his position at the top of the current Order of Merit.

The Ladbrokes Legends Tour now moves on to Fiji next week where 45 Senior Professionals will compete in the Fiji Legends Classic at Natadola Bay and Denarau golf clubs.
