Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour heads for South Pacific

The Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour will arrive in New Caledonia next week for the inaugural South Pacific Legends Classic.

The Ladbrokes PGA Legends Tour will arrive in New Caledonia next week for the inaugural South Pacific Legends Classic.

""37 Senior Professionals headlined by 2012 Australian PGA Champion Peter Senior will descend on the new Sheraton Deva Golf Course who are co-hosting the event with Tina Golf Club.

The four round tournament will be played across both courses for a AU$60,000 prize purse making it the biggest Legends Tour event off Australian shores.

The players will then move onto Fiji to once again compete in the Vuksich & Borich Fiji Legends Golf Classic at the newly redesigned Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course and Denarau Golf Clubs.

“I’m very much looking forward to the upcoming tournaments throughout New Caledonia and Fiji,” said Senior, who retired from top level Tour golf last year but has since become a regular on the Ladbrokes Legends Tour.

“We get to play some beautiful golf courses over the next couple of weeks.  Natadola Bay for instance has just hosted the Fiji International so it should be in great condition.”

This will be the third year the Legends Tour has visited Fiji and defending Champion Tim Elliott will be amongst the 46 Professionals competing.

Locals Krishna Singh and Arvind Lal will also compete with Perry Parker from the U.S. and many New Zealand Professionals giving the tournament a truly international flavour.

Both events are played in a pro-am format seeing amateurs from Australia and New Zealand competing alongside the Professionals which helps drive tourism to these two excellent golfing destinations.
