The Queensland Swing of the E-Z-GO PGA Legends Tour kicked off today at Helensvale Golf Club with Greg Carroll leading the way with a 4-under 66 to finish three shots clear of runners up, Rodger Davis and Tod Power.

Davis and Power were the only other Professionals to shoot under par firing 1-under 69.

Carroll credited his short game for the result. "It was definitely my wedge play and getting the ball close to the pin on my approach shots which set up some good scoring opportunities" said Carroll

Players faced wet conditions in the morning but Carroll, who was amongst the field, was able to capitalise even in the dreary conditions.

Players will now make their way to Mt Warren Park Golf on Friday for the next event on the six week leg of the national tour.
