The Australian Golf Club, due to host the 102nd Emirates Australian Open next week greeted a stellar cast of Ladbrokes Legends Professionals in the Sydney City Lexus Australian Golf Club Pro-Am.

""The field boasted a former Australian Open champion and a former British Open champion. But it would be the 2016’s winner Brad Burns who would triumph again with a 3-under 69.

Burns started where he left off last year making birdie on the par 4 9th hole which was his first hole for the day.

“It’s a real privilege getting to play this magnificent golf course especially the week before the Australian Open. Even at my age it’s exciting playing at the Australian Golf Club," Burns said.

Craig Parry finished runner up with 2-under 70. Parry was the Australian Open champion when played at the Australian Golf Club 10 years earlier.

Rounding out the top five was Peter Senior, David Merriman, Peter O’Malley, David McKenzie and Glenn Joyner all shooting 1-under 71.

The Ladbrokes Legends Tour’s next stop will be the Sylvania BMW Cronulla Golf Club Pro Am.
