Some of Australia's finest Legends professionals will again return to the warmer weather of Queensland and Northern New South Wales next month, as the EZGO Legends Tour comes to a climatic season end.
The Gold Coast Senior Open at Helensvale Golf Club will kick off the three tournament swing on 7th December, with the tournament moving from its regular date in July.
Professionals will then head across the border, with the 10th Anniversary of the Australian Legends Tour Championship teeing off on Friday 9th December at Byron Bay Golf Club.
Tod Power will again return to defend the title he won over Peter Senior 12 months earlier, while many other golfing greats including Michael Harwood and Ossie Moore will also make the trip to Byron Bay looking to claim a slice of the $37,500 in prizemoney.
With 2016 also marking the 10th anniversary of the Byron Bay Golf Club hosting the Australian Legends Tour Championship, the club is very proud of reaching the milestone.
"It's great to have been able to stage this tournament for the past 10 years, a tournament the Byron Bay Golf Club is very proud of," said Secretary Manager Wendy Perry.
"This year will again see the likes of Peter Senior and many more Australian golfing greats return to compete on our challenging, but picturesque course here at Byron Bay."
"It's is always a pleasure to play host to the professionals and we are again looking forward to welcoming them into the community next month."
Boasting a prize purse of $60,000, the Sunshine Coast Masters will see the tournament be played across three courses, with the opening round teeing off at the Noosa Golf Club on December 13. Professionals will then play Pelican Waters Golf Club for round 2, with the final round to be played at the Twin Waters Golf Club.
With more than $100,000 in prizemoney to be played over a 10 days' Legends will no doubt be looking for a big finish to the year, to ensure they have full playing rights for the 2017 season.
