The celebrities and a strong field of professionals turned out in force for the traditional golfing opening to the new year played at a very hot Portsea Golf Club with today’s Swisse Portsea Pro-Am. Scoring was as hot as the temperature with five quality players in Marcus Fraser , David McKenzie, Terry Pilkadaris, Cameron Percy and Clint Rice finishing in a tie for 2nd with fine scores of 66. Jarrod Lyle was too good for everyone though with an impressive 65 that will hopefully be a sign of things to come for 2012 after regaining his US Tour Card at the recent Qualifying School.
