PGA Professionals Championship Final Event Format:
The tournament will be considered a National Event with a limited field of 50 players played over 54 holes (3 rounds). There will be no cut and it will be a Professionals only event.
The purse split will be as per the attached 2010 PGA Professionals Championship prize money ratios, meaning all players will earn a prize payment. These ratios can be viewed online under 'related documents'.
A Pro-Am day will precede the Championship proper, where sponsors and guests will be invited to play. The field will be made up of a 25 group shotgun start – 2 professionals with 2 amateurs or sponsors, i.e. A total of 50 amateurs on the day. All players will be required to be available for the Pro-Am.

Monday, 6th September Official practice day & Registration 9:00am-5:00pm
Tuesday, 7th September Tournament Pro-Am
Wednesday, 8th September Round 1
Thursday, 9th September Round 2 (switched draw)
Friday, 10th September Round 3 Seeded draw
Player Costs:
All travel and accommodation requirements will be the responsibility of the players.
Exemptions Available to leading Player:
The Championship winner and Runner-up will be exempt into the 2010 Australian PGA Championship.
Vicar’s Shield
The Vicar’s Shield is to be conducted as part of the PGA Professionals Championship. The Vicar’s Shield will be awarded to the leading State/Division and is calculated on the best two aggregate scores for the three rounds of competition. Should a tie occur, a countback system will be applied to establish the winning State/Division.
