Welcome to the 2010 Pat O'Driscoll / Tropical Auto Group Golf Classic. Also known as s the Capricorn Classic, last year the tournament was the winner of the prestigious 'Tournament of the Year Award'. This is an exclusive opportunity to play 4 rounds with some of the countries past, present and future superstars, all in the surrounds of one of the leading resorts in QLD, is the reason for the tournaments success.

In it's 18th year, the tournament is sure to another great week of golf with an array of functions and great prizes on offer, not to mention both the Resort and Championship Golf Course being in magnificant condition.

ACCOMMODATION SPECIAL
Capricorn Resort have offered professionals a special accommodation rate for the tournament and professionals are urged to take advantage of this where possible. Full details can be found on the left hand side of the page though ultimately the offer stands as $600 for 6 nights or $700 for 7 nights in a self contained apartment which contains 1 double and 2 single beds.(approx $33 per person/night)

Below are a list of additional activities that professionals are required to make themselves available for:
Wednesday 21st July
52 Professionals required to play in the 18 hole Sponsors Pro Am at 9:30am. Professionals who play in the Sponsors Pro Am will have the opportunity to contest the Heron Island Shootout to follow the round. The prize for this shootout is:

* 2 x nights in a Point Suite ($940 per night)* these are their best suites

Saturday 24th August
5 Professionals are required to conduct a one hour coaching clinic (Time TBC).
The leading professional(s) after the third round are required to attend the tournament dinner @ 7pm.

Below details the availablity of the course for practices rounds and charges for the use of the facilities in relation ot the tournament:
Prior to Monday 19th July - Professionals to be charged $25 per player Green fee including cart hire and range balls as normally charged
Monday 19th July - Professionals to be charged no green fee or cart hire fee for a practice round and range balls will be complimentary all day.
Tuesday 20th July - Professionals to be charged no green fee or cart hire fee for a practice round up until 12pm though players wishing to play after 12pm will not have access to carts and will have to walk(no pull carts available). Range Balls will be complimentary all day.
Wednesday 21st July - Course closed for the Sponsors Pro Am which tees off at 9:30am. No practice rounds are available prior to this time. Professionals not playing in the sponsors day will be able to get on the course after the completion of the Sponsors Pro Am (approx 2:30pm) though will not have access to carts and will have to walk(no pull carts available). Range Balls will be complimentary all day.
Thursday-Sunday - Range balls complimentary all day
(please note 'all day' refers to the driving range closing at 5:30pm)
