The Pre-Qualifying round for the Michael Hill New Zealand Open will be held at Christchurch Golf Club on Monday 8th March, 2009.

Players are required to register upon arrival and be available to commence play 15 minutes prior to their tee time. A total of 4 players will go through to the 2009 Michael Hill New Zealand Open.

In the event of a tie for the last qualifying place, those who tie will play-off on a sudden death basis immediately after completion of all rounds. Any player involved who is not immediately available when the play-off starts will forfeit his place. Provision will also be made for two alternates should any of the four successful players withdraw prior to their first round tee-time.
