Golf Performance Program
The PGA Centre for Learning and Performance leads the way in high performance golf coaching.
The PGA Centre for Learning and Performance Golf Performance Program is a joint program run between Professional Golfers Association of Australia Limited (RTO Code: 22044) and the SEDA Group Pty Ltd (TOID: 22503). The Golf Performance Program is a high performance and improvement program suitable for students looking to improve their playing, enter tour school or the PGA Trainee Program.
The program is suited for golfers with a strong desire to play competitively and that need further skill development.

SIS50612 Diploma of Sport Development
Area of study
Students will undertake the following components of study, run concurrently:
Part A: Delivered by the PGA CLP over a duration of 1 year. This component of the Golf Performance Program focuses on:
- Improving technical skill level
- Improving physically to able to meet the demands of playing high performance golf
- Improving the tactical and mental skills of the golfer
- Improving the preparation and golf performance training of the students
- Preparing students to play tournament level golf
Part B: Co-delivered with our education partner SEDA Group Pty Ltd TOID: 22503, this component provides the skills and knowledge for an individual intending to pursue a career in sport development. Key academic programs areas include (but are not limited to):
- Golf skills and tactics
- Drugs in sport
- Sports Psychology
- Fitting and altering golf equipment
- Strength and Conditioning program development
Articulation into the PGA Trainee Program or further study through SEDA's tertiary partners also exists.
SEDA Group have confirmed via industry consultation that the following job roles are appropriate outcomes for this qualification:
- Directors of Coaching
- PGA Professional
- Pro Shop Assistant and Manager
- Program manager
- Sport Development officer
- Tournament official
SEDA Group students may use this qualification as a pathway to continue and complete the SIS50512 Diploma of Sport Coaching through the PGA traineeship with Professional Golfers Association of Australia Limited.
The Sport, Fitness and Recreation training package have indicative job roles for this qualification and students may move onto:
- Competition manager;
- Program developer;
- Talent development manager; and
- Sport development manager.
Prior to enrolment, Individuals are required to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy assessment as well as a Pre-Training Review to ensure the qualification is the most suitable training option for the individual.
Support will be provided to students that show low Language Literacy and Numeracy and/or require any individual training needs throughout their qualification.
Individuals under the age of 18, will need parental/guardian consent to enrol into a qualification.
