'12 Kooringal Charity Trainee Pro-Am Winner

Second year Trainee from Kingswood Golf Club Jack Wilson has made it two from two with a win at the Kooringal Charity Trainee Pro-Am on Monday 30th April.

Wilson, who was paired with major sponsor Victorian Tank Services, put on a fine display to card a three under 68.

“The course was in fantastic condition and I really enjoyed playing alongside Matthew Hodgkiss and his staff”, said Wilson.

“I’m glad that I’ve been able to be part of raising money for such a great cause and I appreciate the support the Club, Sponsors and Amateurs have shown towards the Trainees here today”.

53 Trainees joined 29 groups of Amateurs for an enjoyable day on the fairways in fine weather at Kooringal Golf club.

Chief Executive Officer of the Challenge Foundation David Rogers was on hand at the Pro-Am dinner to thank everybody for their support and to communicate the importance of their foundation.

“The challenge foundation provides much needed assistance to the kids and families that are affected by cancer and it’s great to see so many people here tonight”, said David.

Two shots back from Wilson was Royal Melbourne’s Trainee Richard Blake who was the only other Trainee to break par on the day with a one under 70.

The Trainees head next to the CPM Southern PGA Trainee Championship at Tocumwal Golf Club beginning 8th May.
