2012 SIFA Samoa Open Champion - Terry Pilkadaris

Australian Terry Pilkadaris has won the SIFA Samoa Open by five shots after a three round total of seventeen under par. Pilkadaris led the tournament from start to finish and was never headed with a final round of two under par 70 to go with his opening rounds of 63 and 66.

In outright second position was last year’s Samoa Open Champion Peter Wilson who fired a five-under par round of 67 for a tournament total of twelve under par while Craig Scott finished outright third at ten under par.

In his acceptance speak Pilkadaris praised organisers and major sponsors SIFA who have now been the tournaments major sponsor for five consecutive years.

The tournament also highlighted the skill and continued development of two local amateur players with Pulou Faaliga and Olive Auva’a taking out the men’s and women’s sections respectively. For sixteen year old Auva’a, her tournament was highlighted by her final round of five-under-par.

The Tournament concluded with the official closing ceremony and prize presentation with the players, sponsors and officials entertained by traditional Samoan dancing and a barbeque feast.
