Korean Kim Kyung-Tae held on for a one-shot win at the Fujisankei Classic on Sunday as Australian Kurt Barnes finished well behind.

Kim, the second highest ranked player at the Japan Golf Tour tournament, birdied three of his last five holes to finish with a three-under 68 and on eight under overall at the Fujizakura Country Club.

Japan's Yuta Ikeda carded a four-under 67 in the final round to be runner-up, while Hiroyuki Fujita and Prayad Marksaeng tied for third.

The win marked Kim's fifth victory on the Japan Golf Tour as he looks to recapture the form that saw him selected in the losing international team at the Presidents Cup last year.

Barnes was tied for 22nd after shooting his worst round of the tournament – a three-over 74.

World number 75 Ryo Ishikawa, the highest ranked player in the field and a two-time champion, missed the cut on Friday after ending up on three over.
