Brown sizzles back into contention

Anthony Brown has blitzed the Legends course at Moonah Links with a 65 (-7) to vault his way back into contention at Jeep Pro-Am Tour Victorian event.

Brown who started the third round nine shots behind overnight leader Mahal Pearce sizzled around the course with eight birdies and one bogie to now trail Pearce (70) by four shots and be in with a realistic chance of what seemed like an improbable victory 24 hours earlier.

“Conditions were much more favourable today than yesterday and I’m glad I was able to take full advantage”, said Brown.

Overnight leader Pearce improved his lead from yesterday by one shot with a two under 70 totalling five under for the tournament.

Five players in total currently sit at par or better with Mahal Pearce (-5), Ashley Hall (-2), Leigh Mckechnie (-1) Anthony Brown (-1) and Andrew Kelly at (0).

Round four commences with a 9am shotgun start and will be played on the Open Course. Spectators are encourage to come along and watch some of Australia’s best talent fight it out for the title.
