Administered by the PGA Academy of Golf, the PGA Traineeship program is a three-year workplace based golf traineeship.
The three years of training are spent under the full supervision of a full vocational member of the PGA of Australia at a recognised golf course and involve completion of academic based assessments, on-the-job training, educational training schools and playing assessment. Academic subjects include Coaching, Golf-Club Technology, Retail and Business Management and Professional (workplace) Skills.

Upon graduation participants are awarded full vocational membership of the PGA of Australia, in addition to receiving Vocational Coaching Accreditation with the Australian Sports Commission (ASC).
