Tweet of the week

Tuesday, 12 June 2012

The 1955 US Open at Olympic Club is one of the most famous in tournament history because virtual unknown club professional from Iowa, Jack Fleck, beat the great Ben Hogan in a play-off.

Iowa, not known for its sporting successes, has had only one other major winner since 1955 – 2007 US Masters champ Zach Johnson.

This week's Tweet of the week goes to Johnson who bumped into the now 90-year-old Fleck on the grounds at Olympic during Monday's practice round and snapped this photo.
