The PGA has confirmed a new publisher for its official Member publication, PGA Magazine.

Sydney based publishing company Citrus Media will produce the bimonthly Member publication on behalf of the PGA, with the objective of keeping the PGA community informed about the latest industry news and advice, events, sponsorships, appointments, products and initiatives.

Mailed to over 2,500 PGA Professionals, 600 golf club managers and 350 Australian and international industry personnel, the new-look official PGA publication will be a key communication piece for the Australian golf industry.

“For over 20 years, PGA Magazine has been a central communication piece for our Association, and we are excited to explore this new era with Citrus Media,” said Brian Thorburn, Chief Executive Officer of the PGA of Australia.

Well known Australian golf writer Rod Morri has been appointed by Citrus Media as Editor of the new-look publication.

“PGA Members form the very front line of Australian golf, and I look forward to the opportunity to work with the organisation to produce a magazine which is not only entertaining, but a worthwhile resource for the Membership,” said Morri.

Citrus Media Director Jim Flynn said that for advertisers, PGA Members are a vital link in the marketing chain for the Australian golf market.

“The golf industry has never been more competitive, making marketing and distribution more critical than ever. For most companies in the golf business, a good relationship with PGA Professionals is vital to maximising retail opportunities,” said Flynn.

In announcing the new partnership, the PGA also thanked outgoing publisher Outdoor Sports Publishing, and in particular Sam Arthur, David Newbery and Rob Willis for their contribution over the last two years.

Citrus Media’s first official Member publication (the September/October edition) will be distributed in late September.

In addition to PGA Magazine, Citrus Media has also partnered with the PGA to produce an innovative range of consumer titles.

A glossy premium suite of print and digital publications, PGA Escapes and PGA Courses will launch later this year with PGA Gear to follow in early 2013.
