Stacy Lewis and Mika Miyazato share the lead after the first round of the ShopRite LPGA Classic on Friday (local time).

American Lewis and Japan's Miyazato carded six-under-par rounds of 65 to lead by two shots from Paula Creamer of the US and Mariajo Uribe of Colombia.

One shot behind in fifth place is Canada's Maude-Aime Leblanc while seven golfers are tied for sixth place after rounds of 69.

Trailing the leaders by four strokes are Americans Anna Grzebien, Christina Kim, Mo Martin and Alexis Thompson.

Sweden's Anna Nordqvist and Karin Sjodin and Spain's Azahara Munoz also carded rounds of 69.

Stacey had an eagle on the par-five 3rd and had hit six birdies but her round could have been much better if she had not had a two-over six on the 2nd hole.

Miyazato also had an eagle, on the par-five 9th, while hitting four birdies in a blemish-free round.
