American Fred Funk wins the JELD-WEN Tradition at Sunriver Resort's Crosswater Golf Club in Oregon.
American Fred Funk has won the JELD-WEN Tradition for the second time in three years.
With a final round three-under 69, Funk claimed a one-stroke victory over American Michael Allen and Chien Soon Lu of Taiwan in the fourth of the five majors this year.
Funk took the lead with a birdie on the par-5 16th and never looked back two-putting the 18th to finish at 12-under, 276.
As many as eight players were tied or had the outright lead at some point in a thrilling final round and with five holes remaining 12 players were within two strokes of the lead.
Lu had a chance to tie Funk at 18, narrowly missing a difficult chip shot for birdie.
While Allen reached 12-under after a birdie at 15, but gave a stroke back with a bogey at 16.
Overnight leader Tom Lehman fired a disappointing one-over 73 to finish in a tie for fourth at ten-under with fellow American Mark Calcavecchia (66).
Germany's Bernard Langer who was attempting to become the second player in Champions Tour history to win three consecutive majors, finished in a tie for 10th at eight-under.
Australians Peter Senior (72) and Graham Marsh (77) finished in T38 and 63rd respectively.
