Thursday, 29 March 2012
Elissa Orr has once again taken charge winning her second Trainee event of the year from four starts at the Moe's Mexican Bar & Grill Trainee Pro-Am.
46 Trainees made the trip up to the Horsham Golf Club for the 36 hole event in what was once again a fantastic day for the Victorian Trainees.
Elissa, who won the first event of the year at Mornington Golf Club by two shots had a comfortable win with adjusted scores of even par 71 and five under 66 totalling five under 137.
“The highlight of my day was my eagle on the par four 16th where I holed a 58 degree wedge from 25 metres out”, said Elissa.
“The course condition was amazing and I have already told a number of ladies that I must take them up to check out this beautiful place”.
The win elevates Elissa to equal first place on the CPM Victorian Trainee Order of Merit along with Jack Wilson.
Following Elissa in second place on a three way tie were Sean Roach, Jack Wilson and Anthony Smith all with scores of one under par 141.
The lowest round from the men came in the afternoon from Sean Roach who had five birdies and one bogey for a four under 67.
“Richard Alsop, Mark McIntyre and the sponsors put on another great event for the Trainees, we all thoroughly enjoyed our day and were well looked after by the club”, said Trainee captain Rick Warren.
The next event on the Trainee calendar is the Trainee Event at Kingswood Golf Club on Monday 2nd April.
Thanks to Jack Wilson and the Kingswood Golf Club the event has been booked at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances at the original host club.
