Royal Melbourne’s Trainee Professional Richard Blake has taken out the 2012 Rossdale Trainee Pro-Am.

Blake narrowly secured his win with four birdies and two bogies for a 2-under 70.

“I really enjoyed my game today and once again the Rossdale Golf Club have put on a fantastic event in support of the PGA Trainees”, said Blake.

Conditions were tough at Rossdale with winds gusting and playing havoc with players during both the morning and afternoon fields.

Brock Gillard and Theo Maroulakos finished just one shot back from Blake with scores of 1-under 71.

“I had six birdies, an eagle, five bogies and a double, the wind was so hard to judge, even on the greens”, said Gillard,

The Trainee pro-am had a fantastic turnout with a total of 42 Trainees teeing it up alongside over 100 club members and sponsors.

The Victorian Trainees head to Benalla next week for a 36 hole Trainee event.
