2010: The Year of the Scramble

Friday, 29 January 2010

It’s time to start cutting the dead weight, recruiting new talent and talking tactics for your 2010 Holden Scramble team! This year’s local Holden Scramble season kicks off at the end of March and will run all the way through to the end of September with an anticipated 400 local events to be held across the country.

2010 Season Launch

2009 was a huge year for the Holden Scramble with the switch back to four-person teams, the improvement to the elimination format and the new-look prize packs from Callaway. These improvements were clearly welcomed by players and professionals alike, as last year saw an 18% increase in participation numbers across the country. Due to its immense popularity, the Holden Scramble will keep the same format as last year, with the focus going towards giving even more back to participants, professionals and clubs.

While the lure of playing through to the Regional and Championship Finals with a PGA Professional is more than enough to motivate teams to bring their A-game, Callaway have again jumped onboard this year to provide bigger and better prizes at the local level.

Every player competing in a local Holden Scramble event will be competing for prizes valued over $1,000 with the winning team earning themselves brand new Callaway Stand-Bags to take to the Regional Finals. All participants will also receive upon registration at your local event 6 Callaway Diablo Balls and the $500 cashback offer from Holden along with the chance to win additional prizes throughout the season.

In conjunction with the exciting new prizes, the PGA Events Division is also launching their new Holden Scramble website, including new exciting features to keep you updated in all things Scramble throughout the year. So stay tuned and keep an eye out for your nearest Holden Scramble event coming soon!

Hi, we competed at the 2009 championships and are trying to find out what changes if any need to be made to our side or are there different rules we need to be aware of?
