A commanding performance from start to finish has given the team from Robina Woods Golf Club the Holden Scramble Championship Final title.

The very consistent and talented team of Nathan Baker, Matthew Pease, Adrian Robert, Blake Johnson and PGA Professional Corey Taylor teamed up with Tour Professional Peter O’Malley to shoot 156.1, 2.8 shots clear of the Queensland comrades from Laidley Golf Club.

Laidley Golf Club, lead by PGA Professional, Ian Esson, and teaming up with Tour Professional David Bransdon closed the gap slightly on the overnight leaders, but couldn’t quite get there, finishing with a total score of 158.9.

But Laidley Golf Club won’t be disappointed with the silver medal, as the top three scores from both the mixed and women’s Championship Finals will be representing Australia in 2012 when China host the next leg of the China Challenge – a new initiative between the China Golf League and the Holden Scramble.

The final team packing their bags are the ladies team from the Cromer Golf Club, who also took out the Women’s Holden Scramble Championship Final today as well.

The team lead by PGA Professional, Nicholas Robb, and consisting of Adele Brimmer, Beverley Fagan, Yvonne Burns and Katrina Brown teamed up with Holden Young Lion, Nicole Picken, to finish with round of 51 and win by 7.9 shots.

The Holden Scramble Championship Final was conducted over four spectacular days of sunshine at Novotel Twin Waters and Twin Waters Golf Club on Queensland’s aptly named Sunshine Coast. Players were treated to four glorious days of golf as well as three social functions and a trip to the PGA Championship presented by Coca-Cola.
