Australia’s largest and number one Pro-Amateur team’s event, the Holden Scramble is preparing to celebrate the finale of the 20th Anniversary year with the Championship Final being staged on the Sunshine Coast at Novotel Twin Waters Resort and Twin Waters Golf Club.
25 mixed and 4 women’s teams from all over Australia will compete at the Championship Final over three days of golf at Twin Waters Golf Club from November 25th November 2011.
This year sees teams from all corners of the country including Donnybrook in WA, Gove in NT, Canowindra in Regional NSW and Claremont in Tasmania all making the journey to compete.
The Championship Final starts with a practice round on Friday 25th November, followed by two competition rounds on the weekend. After the 36 competition holes, the top half of the mixed and women’s fields will be joined by a PGA Tour of Australasia Professional for Monday’s all important final round.
This year, the Holden Scramble will again feature some impressive Tour Professionals, featuring Australian Tour Professionals Stuart Appleby, John Senden, Peter O’Malley, and Wayne Grady.
During our 20th Anniversary year, the PGA of Australia and China Golf Association have teamed up to launch the very first International Challenge between the two countries respective club teams event.
We welcome for the first time in the events history, to the Championship Final guests from the China Golf Club League who will compete in an International friendly match against the leading 2010 Holden Scramble Championship teams. This event will be held over 36 holes in conjunction with the 2011 Holden Championship Final.
To cap off the celebrations, the leading 3 team scores from the 2011 Championship Final will cement their place to represent the Holden Scramble and Australia in the return match in China in 2012.
In what has been the most exciting and innovative year for the Holden Scramble, the 2011 finale is set for an exciting finish!
