Championship Final
Thursday, 8 March 2012
The Holden Scramble Championship Final is the culmination of the event, with winning teams from each Regional Final progressing through to the Championship and the golfing experience of a lifetime.
The Championship Final is played under a 54-hole tournament format, with the teams of four amateurs and one professional competing. After 36 holes, the top half of the field team up with some Australia’s leading tour pro’s to make a team of six (6). Last year’s line up included players such as Cameron Percy, Peter O'Malley, Anthony Summers and Ashley Hall
The Holden Scramble Championship Final is held on Queenslands Sunshine Coast at Twin Waters Golf Club and Novotel Twin Waters Resort.
Twin Waters Golf Club is internationally recognised as one of the top six resort courses in Australia – naturally it’s the best on the Sunshine Coast. The 18 hole, par 72 championship course was designed by five times British Open champion Peter Thomson and partner Mike Wolveridge.
Set up in full tournament conditions, the Championship Final delivers all the atmosphere and competitiveness of a professional tournament with a line-up of social functions to remember. From the welcome dinner under the stars to the theme night or gala presentation dinner, those Holden Scramble participants who represent their club at the Final are provided with the chance to take home much more than the title of Holden Scramble Champions.
