Holden Scramble Regional Finals

The Holden Scramble Regional Finals are the second level of competition in the Holden Scramble and consist of qualifying teams from local Holden Scramble events teaming up with their PGA Club Professional or an “adopt-a-pro” to make a team of five (5).

The Regional Final series is held throughout October each year. Each Regional Final participant receives a Regional Final representative shirt and gift, and play for an extensive prize table including the trip of a lifetime to the event finale, the Holden Scramble Championship Final.

Holden Scramble Regional Finals are conducted at some of the premier golf courses Australia has to offer and are determined by the PGA Events Division. Qualifying teams are allocated and notified of Regional Final venues in early September.

2011 - REGIONAL FINAL EVENTS

Women's State Finals

All qualifiers from local events of the Women’s Holden Scramble will compete in the Women’s State Final in October. In the event a state only has a few qualifying teams, they will join another State Final, ie: SA and TAS both compete in the Southern Final in Victoria.

All dates and venues for the Holden Scramble Regional and Women’s State Finals are determined by the PGA Events Division and are subject to change.

Specific Regional Final Rules

See Holden Scramble Rules for a full list of Holden Scramble rules, policies and eligibility.

To determine the net score on the day of the Regional Final and the Holden Scramble Championship Final, the team's aggregate handicap is divided by 10: the resulting figure is then subtracted from the team's score for the Ambrose 18-hole event.

For example:
Team aggregate handicap of 56 is divided by 10 = 5.6
Team scratch score = 70
Net score = 64.4 (70 minus 5.6)

It is a condition of entry to a Regional Final that every team provides a scorer which will mark the card of another team at that Regional Final.

All players competing in 2011 must have played a minimum of three (3) single, handicapped competition rounds during 2011 prior to the finals in October. A two stroke team handicap reduction applies to teams that have not fulfilled this requirement. Handicap checks will be carried out at all levels of competition.

Regional Final teams are required to play on a neutral course, other than the club course which hosted the Local Event. Any variation to this rule will be at the discretion of the PGA Events Division.
